Imagine a trip that takes you from coast to coast, from the fishing villages of the Atlantic coast to the bright lights of Los Angeles.  Travel through the Appalachian Mountains, along the coast of the Great Lakes, through the corn fields of the Midwest and the prairies of Nebraska.  Drive over the Rocky Mountains at the continental divide.  Imagine a trip that takes you through the deserts of Utah and Nevada, through the Sierra Nevada Mountains, through Death Valley.
